The Department of Public Works and Highways through its Stakeholders Relations Service records personal information for reference on its social marketing and mobilization activities. This Privacy Statement has been formulated to better serve our stakeholders pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Personal information refers to any information, whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information, or when put together with other information, would directly and certainly identify an individual.
We obtain information through forms, personal interview and electronic conversation which is duly registered in our in-house database. Personal information that we encode includes full name, contact details, home address, e-mail address and social media accounts on which shall be only used to address response and official report on their official transaction with DPWH.
Personal information is protected as only the authorized Action Officer can access the database and the server is being managed and secured by the Information Management Service.
Personal information maybe disclosed only to other DPWH concerned offices only with consent of the concerned individual and the purpose of which will only be used for reference in taking action on the concerns of the said individual.
This Privacy Policy will remain effective unless there is a revision which will be effective immediately after being posted on the DPWH Website. The public may also provide feedback to this policy through the contact information provided below citizens_feedback@dpwh.gov.ph and DPWH hotline 165-02.
